CANTOR ALEXIS SKLAR
From KTI’s Clergy
We recently celebrated Tu b'Shevat - the New Year of the Trees. In Israel, trees are beginning to bloom, the rainy season is just about over, and spring is around the corner. New Year celebrations bring opportunities for growth and renewal. Here, at KTI, we are excited for the changes that are just around our corner.
As you may have heard, Cantor Sklar, in addition to being our Cantor, will also be the new Director of KTI's Religious School, beginning this summer. In this capacity, she will serve as a Jewish educational role model, not only for our children, but for all of us.
We are looking forward to adding a new dimension to our teamwork. Over the last seven years, we have built a strong partnership built on trust, open communication, mutual respect, and a desire to serve this community to the best of our abilities. We are excited about collaborating in order to build on the many successes of the Religious School. We believe that the Cantor's expanded role will spark creativity and cultivate meaningful connections among the many arms of KTI.
While we are aware that transitions can be challenging, just as trees begin with small buds that grow into beautiful flowers and bear fruit, we know that in time, this change will strengthen the KTI Family, renew creative energy, and foster even deeper Jewish learning.
